Wedding Photos at Living Sculpture Sanctuary, Davie, FL | Amanda & Danny

Wedding photo gallery is available at the bottom of the article.

Amanda and Danny’s wedding at Living Sculpture Sanctuary brought together rich color, natural scenery and a relaxed celebration with the people they love most. From their first look among the tropical greenery to their outdoor ceremony beside the water, the entire day felt personal and full of energy.

Their color palette was especially striking. Deep burgundy bridesmaid dresses were paired with bouquets filled with red and blue flowers, white accents and textured greenery. Against the sanctuary’s wooden structures and lush gardens, those bold colors gave every part of the wedding a warm, distinctive look.

I photographed and filmed the celebration for QMWeddings, documenting everything from the quiet getting-ready moments to the packed dance floor at the end of the evening.

Amanda and Danny’s Wedding Film

Photography preserves individual moments, while film brings back the movement, voices and atmosphere surrounding them. Capturing both allowed me to tell Amanda and Danny’s story consistently—from the anticipation before the ceremony to the laughter and dancing at their reception.

Getting Ready at Living Sculpture Sanctuary

The day began in the sanctuary’s rustic getting-ready spaces. The wooden walls and natural textures created a warm setting for photographing the wedding details, including Amanda’s gown, shoes, jewelry and rings.

Danny got ready with his closest friends and family members. He wore a classic black suit with a burgundy boutonniere, finishing the look with black-and-white Converse sneakers. His groomsmen coordinated in black suits, dark ties and sneakers, giving the group a polished look that still felt comfortable and true to them.

Amanda spent the morning with her bridesmaids and family. Her fitted off-the-shoulder gown featured delicate lace details and a long veil. Her bouquet added an incredible burst of color, combining deep reds, vivid blues and dramatic greenery.

Before the ceremony, Amanda and her bridesmaids stepped outside for a champagne toast. The reactions, laughter and flying cork made this one of the most animated parts of the morning.

A First Look Surrounded by Tropical Greenery

Amanda and Danny shared their first look on one of the wooden walkways winding through the sanctuary. Danny waited beneath the trees while Amanda approached from behind, carrying her colorful bouquet.

Their reactions gave us a wonderful sequence of photographs—surprise, laughter and a few quiet moments together before the rest of the celebration began. The privacy of the garden made it possible for them to slow down and enjoy seeing each other without the ceremony timeline moving around them.

We continued with portraits along the bridges and paths, using the dense tropical plants, warm wood and filtered afternoon light as natural elements in the photographs. Their personalities came through easily as they talked, laughed and walked through the property together.

A Colorful Outdoor Ceremony by the Water

The outdoor ceremony took place beneath mature trees beside the sanctuary’s water garden. Clear chairs kept the setting visually open, while white fabric and colorful floral arrangements framed the ceremony space.

Burgundy, blue and white flowers decorated the wooden ceremony structure, complementing the wedding party’s attire and Amanda’s bouquet. The colors stood out beautifully against the surrounding greenery without taking attention away from the couple.

Amanda entered the ceremony with her father and joined Danny beneath the floral installation. With their family and friends gathered closely around them, they exchanged vows and rings before sharing their first kiss as a married couple.

Their smiles as they walked back up the aisle said everything. Guests cheered while Amanda and Danny took in those first few moments together as newlyweds.

Wedding Portraits Around the Sanctuary

After the ceremony, we explored more of the property for portraits. The pathways, wooden bridges, mature trees and water features gave us a variety of settings without needing to leave the venue.

One of my favorite portrait locations was beside the pond as the sun began to lower. Golden light filtered through the trees and reflected across the water, creating a warm glow around Amanda and Danny. We photographed both wide environmental portraits and closer, more intimate images that focused on their expressions.

We also incorporated some of the sanctuary’s sculptural woodwork and rustic architecture into their portraits. These features gave the images a strong sense of place and helped tell the story of why Living Sculpture Sanctuary was such an interesting choice for their celebration.

Located in Davie, the venue combines tropical gardens, water features and rustic event spaces. Couples comparing similar settings can also visit our guide to wedding venues near Fort Lauderdale.

A Warm Reception Under the String Lights

The reception was held inside the sanctuary’s open-sided wooden pavilion. Rows of string lights covered the ceiling and wrapped around the timber columns, creating a warm atmosphere as daylight faded.

Burgundy linens continued the wedding’s rich color palette, while colorful floral centerpieces brought elements of the garden into the reception space. Wood floors, exposed beams and surrounding greenery kept the room feeling connected to the natural setting outside.

Amanda and Danny entered the reception with plenty of energy before sharing their first dance beneath the lights. Parent dances and family moments followed, giving us both emotional photographs and meaningful footage for their wedding film.

Later, the couple cut their white tiered wedding cake, decorated with greenery and soft floral details. From there, the celebration moved quickly onto the dance floor.

A Reception Filled With Energy

Once dancing began, the reception stayed lively for the rest of the evening. Amanda and Danny spent the night surrounded by friends and family, moving between group dances, candid conversations and enthusiastic celebrations on the wooden dance floor.

The warm string lights created a beautiful background for the reception photographs, while the open layout allowed us to capture the action from several perspectives. The bouquet toss brought everyone together near the end of the evening, followed by even more dancing and laughter.

These unscripted moments are an important part of every wedding story. They show how the celebration actually felt, not only how it looked.

Living Sculpture Sanctuary Wedding Photography and Videography

Amanda and Danny’s wedding showed how much variety Living Sculpture Sanctuary offers in one location. The rustic getting-ready areas, tropical pathways, pond-side ceremony setting and string-lit reception pavilion each gave their gallery a different visual character.

More importantly, the venue gave Amanda and Danny space to enjoy the day with the people closest to them. Their photographs move naturally from anticipation and emotion to colorful portraits and a reception filled with energy.

It was a pleasure documenting their celebration through both photography and film.
