Bridgett and Rocky’s wedding at InterContinental Miami combined a rooftop ceremony, elegant white-and-gold styling and one seriously energetic reception. From the relaxed morning preparations to their sparkler-filled first dance and packed dance floor, this celebration was full of personality.
I photographed and filmed the day, allowing the quieter interactions, important family moments and energy of the reception to be preserved together. InterContinental Miami provided everything in one location, including bright spaces for getting ready, an outdoor ceremony area and a ballroom overlooking the city and water.
Watch Bridgett & Rocky’s Wedding Film
The photographs preserve individual expressions and carefully chosen details, while the film brings back the voices, music and movement surrounding them. Choosing combined photo and film coverage gave Bridgett and Rocky two complementary ways to revisit the day.
A Relaxed Morning at InterContinental Miami
Bridgett spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids. The group wore matching white robes and filled the room with conversation and laughter while hair and makeup were completed.
Once she was dressed, Bridgett took a few moments for bridal portraits beside the large hotel windows. Her fitted wedding gown featured delicate lace, a low back and a long train. Soft waves, a jeweled hairpiece and a bouquet of white flowers completed her look.
Rocky prepared separately with his groomsmen. His black tuxedo featured distinctive gold-patterned sleeves and matching gold trim, giving the classic black-tie look a personal twist. The groomsmen wore coordinated black suits with gold details, creating a strong and consistent style across the group.
There was time for both polished portraits and more playful photographs before the ceremony. This balance is central to my approach to wedding photography that feels natural and personal.
An Outdoor Ceremony Above Downtown Miami
Bridgett and Rocky held their ceremony on the hotel’s outdoor lawn, surrounded by the architecture and skyline of downtown Miami.
White chairs lined the aisle, with floral arrangements positioned along the way. A modern gold geometric arch decorated with white flowers and greenery framed the ceremony area. The understated design worked beautifully with the clean outdoor setting.
Reserved seats carrying photographs honored loved ones who could not be present. These thoughtful details added a personal and emotional layer to the ceremony.
Bridgett walked down the aisle accompanied by a family member as Rocky waited beneath the floral arch. After exchanging vows and rings, the newlyweds made their way back along the aisle together as their guests celebrated around them.
The reactions, movement and sound of moments like these are why a wedding film that preserves the atmosphere adds so much to the final story.
Rooftop Portraits at InterContinental Miami
Following the ceremony, Bridgett and Rocky stayed outside for their newlywed portraits. The lawn, geometric architecture and nearby Miami buildings gave us several different backgrounds without needing to leave the hotel.
Their black, white and gold styling stood out against the greenery. We created a mixture of formal portraits, relaxed walking photographs and closer images of them enjoying their first few moments as a married couple.
The outdoor space was also ideal for photographs with the wedding party. Bridgett’s bridesmaids wore champagne-colored dresses and carried white bouquets, while Rocky’s groomsmen continued the black-and-gold theme.
A White, Green and Gold Reception
Inside the reception room, the styling continued with a clean palette of white flowers, greenery and gold accents.
Tall floral centerpieces added height to the tables without making the room feel crowded. Gold charger plates, flatware and chairs brought warmth to the setting, while candles and glass details softened the overall look.
A flower wall behind the sweetheart table included a personalized neon sign reading “Mr. & Mrs. The Rodgers.” It created a distinctive focal point for the room and a fitting background for photographs throughout the evening.
The white wedding cake followed the understated style of the reception, with floral accents surrounding its base. A white dance floor finished with the couple’s gold monogram brought the room together.

A First Dance Surrounded by Sparklers
Bridgett and Rocky’s entrance immediately set the tone for the reception. They danced their way into the room with their guests cheering around them before moving onto the custom dance floor.
For their first dance, low-lying clouds covered the floor while indoor sparkler fountains lit the space around them. The effect looked dramatic in both photographs and film, especially with the flower wall and evening view behind them.
There were plenty of tender moments during the dance, but Bridgett and Rocky also kept it fun with turns, dips and plenty of laughter.
Traditions, Money Dance and a Full Dance Floor
The reception moved quickly from formal dances into an energetic party. One memorable part of the evening was the money dance, with friends and relatives surrounding the couple as they danced and celebrated together.
Soon, nearly everyone was on the floor. Guests waved white napkins, danced in groups and lifted both Bridgett and Rocky above the crowd. The room was full of movement, color and expressions that showed exactly how much everyone was enjoying themselves.
This part of the night produced some of the most animated photographs in the gallery. It was also perfect for video, where the music, cheering and fast-moving dance floor could be experienced as they happened.
