Dakota and Tyler’s wedding brought their personalities into every part of the celebration. Set against the open countryside at Ever After Farms The Ranch, their day combined polished wedding style with unmistakable western details—from cowboy hats and boots to Tyler’s statement belt buckle.
It was relaxed, personal and full of energy. The outdoor ceremony made the most of the ranch setting, the open fields gave us room for beautiful portraits in the evening light, and the reception inside the barn quickly turned into a packed celebration.
Getting Ready and Western Wedding Details
The story of the day began with details that immediately established its western character. Tyler’s black cowboy hat, leather belt, boots and “Champion Groom” buckle were photographed alongside the rings and other personal pieces. Together, they created a set of images that felt distinctly his rather than like a standard collection of groom details.
Dakota’s look offered a beautiful contrast. Her fitted lace wedding dress, long veil and soft bouquet felt elegant against the rustic textures of the ranch. Before the ceremony, we photographed her preparations and portraits around the bridal spaces, as well as the excitement shared with the people closest to her.
One of the quieter parts of the afternoon was Dakota and Tyler’s private exchange before the ceremony. Photographing them close together without taking away the anticipation of seeing each other at the aisle gave the gallery a calm, intimate pause before the pace of the day picked up.

After the ceremony, we used the ranch itself rather than taking Dakota and Tyler away from the celebration for too long. The black fencing, open pasture and long country views gave their portraits a clear sense of place without competing with them.
The evening light brought warmth to the fields and worked especially well with the textures of Dakota’s dress and veil. Some portraits were gently directed, while others came from letting them walk, talk and settle into the moment together. That balance created polished photographs while keeping the session comfortable and true to their relationship.
The wider landscape images are an important part of this gallery, but so are the smaller frames: a hand resting on an arm, the movement of Dakota’s veil and the way they looked at each other between photographs.
