Jessica and Sergio’s Boca Raton wedding brought together two very different settings in one connected story. They exchanged vows during a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, then continued the celebration beside the water at Waterstone Resort & Marina.
Soft blue, blush and white details appeared throughout the day, from the flowers and wedding party attire to the bright waterfront reception room. QMWeddings photographed and filmed the celebration, allowing the finished gallery and wedding film to preserve both the quiet anticipation before the ceremony and the energy that took over the dance floor later that evening.

The film follows the full arc of the wedding: preparations in Boca Raton, the church ceremony, the move to Waterstone, portraits beside the marina and the reception celebrations. Alongside the photographs, it preserves the voices, movement and atmosphere that still images cannot hold on their own.
Getting Ready in Boca Raton
Jessica and Sergio prepared separately with the people closest to them. Sergio wore a light gray three-piece suit with a pale pink tie, brown shoes and a boutonniere that combined blue and peach flowers. The room’s natural light and balcony views gave us a clean setting for portraits before he joined the rest of the wedding party.
Jessica’s details introduced the soft coastal palette that would continue throughout the wedding. Her invitation suite, pearl necklace, earrings, perfume, shoes and rings were arranged with pale blue flowers and delicate lace. These smaller photographs created a calm opening to the gallery before the pace of the day began to build.
Jessica got ready in a bright space with friends in pale blue satin outfits. There was plenty happening around her, but the photographs stayed focused on the genuine interactions: laughter during hair and makeup, final adjustments to the gown and the quiet pause before leaving for the church.
Her gown featured an off-the-shoulder lace bodice, a full skirt and a long train. A long veil completed the look, while her bouquet mixed white, blush and blue flowers with loose greenery. We photographed the final details by the windows and then made room for the reactions and embraces that followed once she was ready.
A Catholic Wedding Ceremony at St. Joan of Arc
Jessica and Sergio’s ceremony took place at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca Raton. The pale stone walls, warm wooden pews and large crucifix created a simple, bright setting that kept attention on the ceremony itself.
Sergio waited at the front with the wedding party in light neutral suits. Jessica then entered with her long veil trailing behind her and walked down the aisle carrying her blue, blush and white bouquet. Wide photographs showed the architecture and full processional, while closer frames held onto the expressions between the couple and the reactions of their families and friends.
The ceremony included the traditions of a Catholic wedding, from readings and prayer to the exchange of vows and rings. Jessica and Sergio’s expressions shifted naturally between focus, nerves and laughter, giving the photographs a sense of the ceremony as it really felt rather than reducing it to a series of formal steps.
After their first kiss, they turned towards their guests and made a joyful walk back down the aisle together. That recessional became the natural transition from the formality of the church to the waterfront celebration waiting at Waterstone.
Cocktail Hour Beside the Marina
Guests gathered outside at Waterstone Resort & Marina, where the Intracoastal Waterway, boats and Boca Raton skyline immediately changed the atmosphere. The outdoor cocktail hour gave everyone time to relax, catch up and enjoy the view before moving upstairs for the reception.
We photographed a mixture of wide venue scenes, small groups and unposed conversations. The terrace also gave Jessica and Sergio time for portraits without taking them far away from the celebration.
Waterfront Wedding Portraits at Waterstone
The marina became the main setting for Jessica and Sergio’s couple portraits. The pale blue water and distant buildings worked naturally with their colors, while Sergio’s gray suit and Jessica’s lace gown kept the portraits light and polished.
We used the waterfront wall, terrace steps and palms to create variety within a compact area. Some photographs focused on the wider Boca Raton setting; others moved closer to the couple, using Jessica’s veil to soften the light and frame them together. A few seated portraits gave them a chance to pause before the reception entrance.
The goal was not to turn cocktail hour into a long photoshoot. We kept the session moving, offered direction when it was useful and left space for Jessica and Sergio to interact naturally. The result was a varied set of portraits that still allowed them to return to their guests and enjoy the evening.
A Soft Blue and White Waterstone Reception
The reception room continued the waterfront feeling with curved windows overlooking the marina and a pale, airy design. White linens and clear chairs kept the room bright, while low arrangements of blue, blush and white flowers added color without blocking conversations across the tables.
Candles and neatly layered place settings brought warmth to the room. Behind the sweetheart table, a green wall with the couple’s illuminated surname created a personal focal point and later became the backdrop for the cake cutting.
Jessica and Sergio entered hand in hand before sharing their first dance. The room’s windows and natural daylight made the beginning of the reception feel open and relaxed, while the lighting gradually shifted as evening arrived.
Cake Cutting and a Lively Dance Floor
Their tiered cake carried the same blue-and-white palette as the flowers and reception details. The cake cutting quickly became playful, with plenty of laughter from the couple and the guests gathered around them.
Once the formal parts of the reception were complete, the dance floor filled with family and friends. Party glasses, light-up foam sticks and energetic entrances gave the final part of the gallery a completely different rhythm from the church ceremony earlier in the day.
Those photographs are close and expressive: people laughing, hugging, cheering and moving across the floor rather than stopping to pose. The film adds another layer here by preserving the music, voices and motion that made the reception feel so alive.
