Jill and Kyle’s wedding at Galuppi’s was warm, relaxed and full of personality. They planned the whole celebration at one venue, giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy the ceremony, the scenery and the party without spending the day travelling between locations.
Their ceremony took place beside the water, surrounded by palms, mature trees and the green landscape around Galuppi’s. Afterward, we used the bridges, gardens and waterfront paths for portraits before everyone gathered for dinner, speeches and a very lively evening on the dance floor.
I photographed and filmed the day for QMWeddings, so Jill and Kyle will be able to return to it in two different ways: through a gallery filled with individual expressions and in-between moments, and through a wedding film that preserves the voices, movement and atmosphere behind those photographs.
Getting Ready With Their Favorite People
The morning began with Jill and Kyle getting ready separately with their closest friends and family. Jill’s side of the day had that lovely mix of calm preparation and happy anticipation. Her bridesmaids wore soft dusty-pink dresses, while Jill chose a lace wedding gown with delicate shoulder detail and a long veil.
Kyle got ready with his groomsmen before changing into a light grey suit. These quieter parts of the day are always worth documenting. They preserve the small interactions that happen before the main celebration begins: someone straightening a jacket, friends sharing a joke and the pause just before it all suddenly feels real.
Rather than turning the morning into a long photo session, I focused on the genuine activity around them and added a little direction for the portraits and details. That balance kept everything natural while still giving Jill and Kyle a polished record of how the day began.
A Waterside Ceremony at Galuppi’s
Jill and Kyle held their ceremony outdoors overlooking the water and golf-course greenery. White floral arrangements framed the ceremony area, while wooden cross-back chairs kept the setting elegant but relaxed.
The open-air location suited the way the day felt. Guests were close to the couple, the water and trees created a peaceful setting, and there was enough room for the real reactions to unfold naturally. Jill’s walk down the aisle, the emotion during the vows and the happiness immediately after the ceremony all came together beautifully in both the photographs and film.
One advantage of a ceremony at the venue is that nobody has to rush away afterwards. Guests could move naturally into the next part of the celebration while we stayed nearby for family photographs and portraits.
Golf Course, Bridge and Waterfront Wedding Photos
Galuppi’s gives couples several different portrait settings without requiring them to leave the property. We photographed Jill and Kyle beside the water, along the wooden bridge and among the venue’s palms and greenery. Their long veil caught the light beautifully and added movement to the garden portraits without making them feel too formal.
Their dog also joined them for part of the portrait session, which made the photographs feel even more personal. Including a pet can add a little unpredictability, but that is often where some of the most affectionate and honest images come from.
We kept the portrait time focused so Jill and Kyle could have a varied gallery without disappearing from their guests for ages. There were a few gently directed photographs, plenty of walking and movement, and quieter frames that let them settle into the fact that they were finally married.

A Warm Reception and Plenty of Laughter
The reception brought everyone together for dinner, speeches and the kind of reactions that make documentary wedding coverage so rewarding. The room was styled with soft florals and warm lighting, creating an inviting setting that still felt connected to the tropical surroundings outside.
The speeches delivered plenty of laughter, along with quieter moments between Jill, Kyle and their families. Photographing the people listening is just as important as photographing the person holding the microphone. Those reactions often say more about the relationships in the room than a posed picture ever could.
Jill and Kyle cut their white wedding cake, decorated with a bold cascade of red flowers, before the evening moved fully onto the dance floor. Their first dance and family dances gave way to a busy party with friends and relatives filling the floor. By that point, the formal part of the day was over, and everyone could simply celebrate.

Photography preserves a collection of individual moments, but film adds another layer to the story. It brings back the voices during the vows and speeches, the movement of Jill’s veil, the music and the energy of the reception.
