Melissa and Jason’s Villa Toscana Miami wedding brought every part of the celebration into one private garden estate. They got ready in the mansion, exchanged vows beneath the flower-covered cupola and took portraits among the tropical paths, lagoon and gardens before joining everyone for dinner and dancing outdoors.

Their design mixed ivory and soft blush flowers with sage-green details, gold accents and a clean black-tie look. It felt elegant during the ceremony and dinner, but the evening did not stay quiet for long. Once the sun went down, cold sparks, dancing, a bouquet toss and surprise performers turned the courtyard into a proper party.

I photographed and filmed the full celebration for Melissa and Jason, preserving both the polished details and all the movement, voices and reactions that made the day theirs.

Getting Ready in the Villa Toscana Mansion

Melissa and Jason both prepared onsite, which gave the beginning of the day a calm, connected feel while still keeping their sides of the story separate.

Melissa got ready with the women closest to her in one of the mansion rooms. Her strapless lace gown, long veil, white rose bouquet and crystal earrings created a classic look that suited the garden setting beautifully. The photographs around the carved mirror captured those last quiet checks before the ceremony, along with the help, hugs and conversations happening around her.

Jason kept things just as timeless in a black tuxedo and bow tie. His morning included the smaller details—shoes, watch, rings and boutonniere—before his groomsmen helped with the final adjustments. We also used the mansion’s staircase and warm interiors for a few portraits before everyone headed outside.

Because both preparations happened on the property, we could move naturally between the two stories and keep the timeline focused on the wedding rather than travel.

A Flower-Filled Secret Garden Ceremony

Melissa and Jason exchanged vows in Villa Toscana’s Secret Garden. White chairs lined the brick aisle, low arrangements of ivory and pale blush flowers framed the route to the ceremony, and floral columns wrapped the cupola at the front.

Jason waited beneath the cupola with his groomsmen while Melissa was escorted through the garden by a loved one. The trees surrounding the ceremony made the space feel enclosed and private, even with their guests gathered on both sides of the aisle.

They exchanged vows and rings beneath the flowers, then walked back up the aisle together as everyone celebrated around them. It was a lovely shift from the stillness of the ceremony to the excitement of realizing, yes, you are actually married now.

Wedding Portraits Around the Gardens and Lagoon

After family and wedding-party photographs, Melissa and Jason had a little time to walk through the estate together. We began at the cupola while the ceremony flowers were still in place, using Melissa’s long veil to add movement without turning the portrait session into a complicated production.

The tropical paths and wooden bridge beside the water gave the photographs a softer, more natural look. The greenery framed them from every direction, while the lagoon added reflections and depth. We finished with relaxed portraits on the lawn before they returned to their guests.

One of the advantages of photographing a wedding at Villa Toscana is the amount of variety available within a short walk. We could create formal portraits, quiet close-ups and wide garden scenes without putting Melissa and Jason in a car or taking them away from the celebration for ages.

An Open-Air Reception with Sage and Blush Details

The reception continued outdoors as the late-afternoon light softened across the estate. Round tables were arranged around the lawn with white linens, clear chairs, sage-green napkins, gold flatware and tall floral centerpieces. Ivory and blush flowers also surrounded the sweetheart table, cake table and custom dance floor, connecting the whole design back to the ceremony.

Melissa and Jason opened the reception with their first dance on the monogrammed floor. Low fog and cold sparks added plenty of impact, while the open layout kept their guests close enough to enjoy every moment. Parent dances followed, then speeches brought a mix of laughter and quieter reactions around the tables.

As evening arrived, the café lights and illuminated gardens changed the atmosphere completely. The formal part of the day gave way to cake cutting, dancing and a bouquet toss framed by cold sparks. Later, stilt walkers and LED performers joined the party—definitely one way to make sure nobody quietly slips away after dessert.

The final photographs show exactly how far the celebration travelled in a few hours: from an intimate garden ceremony in soft daylight to a packed outdoor dance floor beneath the lights.
