West Palm Beach Marriott Wedding Photos & Video | Shah & Samiha

Shah and Samiha’s wedding celebration at West Palm Beach Marriott brought together elegant ballroom styling, South Asian fashion, family traditions and a dance floor that stayed busy until the end of the night.

Samiha wore an intricately embroidered silver-blue outfit, while Shah chose a classic black tuxedo finished with a blue bow tie. Their looks coordinated perfectly with the ballroom’s white florals, blue lighting and black details.

I photographed the reception from the couple’s entrance through their sparkler send-off, capturing the formal family portraits alongside the speeches, choreographed performances and spontaneous moments that shaped the evening.

An Icy-Blue Ballroom Reception

The West Palm Beach Marriott ballroom was transformed with a black, white and icy-blue color palette.

Black table linens provided a dramatic base for clear charger plates, candles and tall arrangements of white flowers and greenery. Transparent chairs kept the tables feeling light, while blue uplighting added color around the ballroom walls.

At the front of the room, a raised white stage created a focal point for the celebration. White draping, decorative panels and abundant flowers framed a seating area for Shah and Samiha. A black backdrop filled with small lights created a starry effect behind them.

Before the guests entered, we used the finished ballroom for portraits of the couple. Photographing the room while it was still quiet allowed us to preserve the design before the entrances, speeches and dancing began.

Shah and Samiha’s Reception Entrance

Shah and Samiha entered the ballroom hand in hand, smiling as they saw the completed space and their guests waiting inside.

Samiha’s silver-blue outfit featured detailed embroidery across the skirt, sleeves and matching dupatta. She completed the look with statement jewelry, bangles and carefully applied henna.

Shah’s black tuxedo gave the portraits a timeless contrast, while his blue bow tie connected his look with Samiha’s outfit and the ballroom lighting.

Once they reached the stage, we created a series of couple’s portraits beneath the floral installation. I kept the direction simple, allowing their expressions and connection to remain at the center of the photographs.

This balance between polished portraits and natural interaction is part of my relaxed, story-led approach to wedding photography.

Family Portraits on the Wedding Stage

Family played a central role throughout Shah and Samiha’s celebration. After photographing the couple alone, we brought relatives and close friends onto the stage for formal group portraits.

The floral backdrop gave every group a consistent setting, while the white stage and blue lighting worked well with the wide range of colors worn by their guests.

Traditional saris, lehengas and formal suits brought red, pink, green, blue, gold and black into the photographs. Rather than competing with the reception design, those colors made each family grouping feel distinctive.

We photographed both immediate families, extended relatives and friendship groups. Organizing these portraits before the main dancing began allowed Shah and Samiha to have photographs with the people closest to them without repeatedly leaving the celebration later.

Grand Entrances and Choreographed Performances

The evening included a series of energetic entrances from family members and friends. Each group brought a different personality onto the dance floor, immediately creating a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere.

A group of Shah’s friends performed a coordinated dance in matching blue suits. Their entrance quickly turned into a full routine, with guests watching and cheering from around the ballroom.

Other family members joined the performances in colorful traditional clothing, adding more movement and variety to the celebration. The photographs show how much preparation and enthusiasm went into welcoming the couple.

These performances were also an opportunity to document the guests’ reactions. Laughter, raised hands and people leaning into the aisle to watch became just as important as what was happening in the middle of the floor.

Speeches Filled with Laughter and Emotion

Once everyone was seated, friends and family shared speeches with Shah and Samiha. Some brought laughter, while others created quieter moments between the couple and the people speaking.

I photographed the speakers alongside Shah and Samiha’s reactions from the stage. This helps the finished gallery show the relationship between the words being shared and the emotions they created around the room.

The speeches also included hugs and warm exchanges between the couple and their friends. These unscripted interactions gave the reception story more depth than a collection made up only of formal events.

A Playful Surprise for the Couple

One of the most memorable performances included oversized cutouts of Shah and Samiha’s faces. The playful props immediately surprised the couple and brought plenty of laughter from the surrounding tables.

The performers danced with the cutouts before revealing themselves and continuing the routine. It was personal, unexpected and completely different from the formal portraits taken earlier in the evening.

Moments like this are why reception photography needs to cover more than the scheduled traditions. The jokes, surprises and reactions often become some of the photographs couples enjoy most after the wedding.

Dancing on the Clouds

Shah and Samiha’s first dance transformed the ballroom again. Low-lying fog spread across the wooden floor while cold sparks appeared beside them.

The effect made the couple appear to be dancing on clouds, with the blue uplighting and starry stage behind them completing the scene.

Even with the larger visual effects, their expressions remained the most important part of the photographs. Shah and Samiha smiled, talked and stayed focused on each other while their guests watched from around the room.

The dance ended with more cold sparks and applause before friends and family joined them for the rest of the celebration.

A Packed West Palm Beach Dance Floor

Once the open dancing began, the ballroom filled quickly. Guests surrounded Shah and Samiha, forming circles, raising their hands and joining together for large group photographs.

The colorful clothing, blue lighting and movement gave the later photographs a completely different energy from the couple’s early ballroom portraits.

Samiha remained in the middle of the celebration, dancing with family and friends while Shah joined the crowd around her. The evening moved naturally between smaller group dances and moments when nearly every guest appeared to be on the floor.

A Sparkler Send-Off

At the end of the reception, guests gathered outside the hotel to create a sparkler exit for Shah and Samiha.

The couple walked between two lines of family and friends while everyone raised their sparklers around them. It created a bright, energetic finish to the evening and gave Shah and Samiha one final moment with their guests before leaving.

A black sports car waited nearby, continuing the sleek black-and-blue color palette seen throughout the reception. After a few final photographs, the couple climbed inside and drove away together.

Planning a West Palm Beach Marriott Wedding?

Shah and Samiha’s reception showed how the West Palm Beach Marriott ballroom can be personalized through lighting, stage design, flowers and cultural traditions.

Their celebration moved comfortably from formal portraits and family entrances into performances, speeches, dancing and an outdoor send-off. Building time for the stage portraits before the main reception events also allowed the couple to spend more of the evening enjoying their guests.
