Some weddings don't need a long day to feel complete. Alison & Steve's midday wedding at The Addison in Boca Raton kept everything in one beautiful place — getting ready, ceremony, and reception all at The Addison — and let the day breathe instead of rushing it. We photographed and filmed it as one coordinated photo and video team, so the couple could stay present while we captured it naturally, without turning the day into one long photoshoot.
Getting ready at The Addison
The morning started quietly, in separate rooms at The Addison. Alison got ready in a lace off-shoulder dress, captured in a lovely frame at the tri-fold mirror as she adjusted an earring. Steve's side of the morning was just as calm — a grey suit, a white boutonniere being pinned, and a few unhurried portraits before the day picked up speed.
Portraits on the grounds, before the ceremony
Before the ceremony, we used The Addison's grounds the way they're meant to be used — the terrace under the trees, the white balustrade, the colonnade and pool, and the entrance at 2 East Camino Real. Alison and Steve's portraits are relaxed and full-length, facing the camera, with the venue doing most of the talking behind them.
The ceremony
The ceremony took place at The Addison's white-floral altar, with white chairs set out for guests. Alison walked down the aisle, the vows were exchanged in front of the florals, and the couple recessed back down the aisle together — Steve waving to guests as they went.
Family and wedding party
After the ceremony, we photographed Alison and Steve with their parents, family, and wedding party around the grounds — the group portraits that end up framed at home and sent to relatives who couldn't be there.
The reception
The reception moved inside, to a long-table room dressed with pastel roses, candles, and blue napkins under the chandeliers. The details tell the story here: the table settings, the bar behind them, and the two-tier white cake with pink and blue flowers on a gold stand.
