Coral Gables Congregational United Church of Christ Wedding Photos & Video | Elizabeth & Jorge

Elizabeth and Jorge’s wedding brought together three distinctive Coral Gables and Miami locations. The day began with preparations at Hyatt Regency Coral Gables, followed by a traditional ceremony at Coral Gables Congregational Church and an elegant reception at Reception Palace Ballrooms.

Rich red and blush details ran throughout the celebration, contrasting beautifully with Jorge’s blue suit and the reception’s soft pink lighting. I photographed and filmed the full day, preserving both the carefully planned details and the spontaneous moments shared with their families and friends.

Watch Elizabeth & Jorge’s Wedding Film

Having one team cover the photography and film helped the story flow naturally between all three locations. While photographs preserved individual expressions and details, the film captured the voices, movement and atmosphere surrounding them.

Couples looking for both can explore our coordinated wedding photography and film coverage.

Getting Ready at Hyatt Regency Coral Gables

Elizabeth prepared at Hyatt Regency Coral Gables with her bridesmaids, flower girls and family. The morning began with everyone in coordinating blush and white robes, enjoying a relaxed start before it was time to get dressed.

Her flower girls wore pale pink dresses, continuing the soft color palette chosen for the wedding party. Elizabeth’s bridesmaids later changed into long gowns in shades of blush and red.

Elizabeth wore an off-the-shoulder wedding gown with lace sleeves, a full skirt and a long veil. The floral lace detailing photographed beautifully in the bright hotel room, particularly when she stood beside the French doors overlooking the Mediterranean-inspired courtyard.

After getting dressed, Elizabeth shared an emotional moment with her mother before we created bridal portraits around the hotel. The staircases, arched hallways and light-colored interiors gave us several elegant settings without taking her far from the room.

Jorge and His Wedding Party

Jorge wore a royal blue suit with a white shirt, red tie and coordinating boutonniere. The bold combination connected his look with the red and pink flowers used throughout the ceremony and reception.

His wedding party wore matching blue suits, creating a strong contrast against the rich wooden bookshelves where we photographed the group before the ceremony.

Along with the more formal portraits, we made room for candid interactions as everyone helped with jackets, ties and boutonnieres. Those in-between moments showed the friendships within the group and brought a relaxed feeling to the beginning of Jorge’s gallery.

This combination of composed portraits and unscripted interactions is central to my natural approach to photographing weddings.

A Ceremony at Coral Gables Congregational Church

Elizabeth and Jorge held their ceremony at Coral Gables Congregational Church. Inside, the arched architecture, warm chandeliers and black-and-white floor created a distinctive setting for their vows.

Red roses decorated the aisle and the front of the church, adding strong color to the neutral interior. The floral design also connected the ceremony with Elizabeth’s bouquet and the wedding party’s attire.

The flower girls and wedding party entered first. Elizabeth then walked down the long aisle with a loved one beside her while Jorge waited at the front.

The wide central aisle gave everyone a clear view of her entrance and allowed her long veil to extend behind her as she approached the ceremony. Jorge’s reaction, along with the expressions of their guests, became an important part of both the photographs and film.

Elizabeth and Jorge’s Wedding Ceremony

Elizabeth and Jorge stood together at the front of the church as they exchanged vows and rings. Their families and wedding party remained close, surrounded by the deep red floral arrangements.

The ceremony included plenty of emotion, from quiet exchanges between the couple to reactions among the guests. Those smaller moments helped tell the full story beyond the traditional processional, vows and first kiss.

After being pronounced married, Elizabeth and Jorge walked back down the checkered aisle together while their guests celebrated around them.

Filming the ceremony meant their words and voices could be preserved alongside the photographs. You can learn more about wedding films created around genuine sound and emotion.

Portraits Around Coral Gables

After the ceremony, we used the church exterior and surrounding grounds for portraits. The pale stucco, tiled roof and arched entrances continued the Mediterranean-inspired look seen earlier at the Hyatt.

Elizabeth’s lace gown and long veil stood out against the warm architecture, while her coral, blush and white bouquet added color to the portraits. Jorge’s blue suit created a complementary contrast.

We photographed the couple walking together, standing beneath the arches and enjoying a few quiet minutes before traveling to their reception.

Later in the evening, we also created portraits outside a softly lit entrance. These nighttime photographs added another mood to their gallery and gave Elizabeth and Jorge a short break together before returning to the party.

An Elegant Reception at Palace Ballrooms

The celebration continued at Reception Palace Ballrooms. Inside, white draping covered the walls while soft pink and purple lighting transformed the room.

Gold chairs and burgundy table linens brought warmer color into the space. White floral centerpieces kept the tables bright and connected the reception design with Elizabeth’s bouquet.

The sweetheart table stood on a raised white stage surrounded by flowers. Its clear design and soft lighting made Elizabeth and Jorge the focus of the room without competing with the rest of the decor.

The couple made their entrance onto the white dance floor before beginning their first dance. With their wedding party and guests gathered around them, the reception quickly moved from formal introductions into a lively celebration.

First Dances and Family Moments

Elizabeth and Jorge’s first dance gave them a chance to slow down after a busy day across three locations. The ballroom lighting reflected from the white floor while guests watched from their tables.

Family dances followed, bringing another series of emotional moments. Elizabeth and Jorge also spent time greeting and dancing with the people closest to them, creating plenty of natural interactions throughout the evening.

Speeches brought laughter, hugs and heartfelt reactions from around the room. I photographed the speakers as well as the couple and their guests, ensuring the gallery showed how each story and message was received.

Cake Cutting and a Packed Dance Floor

Elizabeth and Jorge chose a white tiered cake decorated with subtle floral details. They cut it together before sharing a bite and returning to the celebration.

Once the dance floor opened, guests quickly filled it. Colorful party glasses and light-up accessories appeared as the evening became more energetic, giving the later photographs and film a completely different atmosphere from the church ceremony.

Elizabeth remained in the middle of the party, dancing with friends and family while Jorge celebrated alongside her. The evening ended with the ballroom full of movement, color and happy faces.

Planning a Coral Gables Wedding?

Elizabeth and Jorge’s celebration showed how a multi-location wedding can create a varied story. The light-filled rooms and architecture of Hyatt Regency Coral Gables worked beautifully for preparations, the church provided a traditional ceremony setting, and Palace Ballrooms gave everyone space to celebrate late into the evening.

When a wedding involves several locations, allowing realistic travel time between preparations, the ceremony, portraits and reception helps everyone stay relaxed. It also gives your photography and video team time to document each setting without rushing important moments.
